shakespeare in the park virtual line
Last summer I recommended the Public's virtual line, which gives away Shakespeare in the Park tickets. I don' t think anyone took me up on it, but Skramly and I have been able to enjoy free performances both this year and last. Right now The Bacchae is playing and it should be really easy to get the tickets because the staging is awful and it's really hard to sit through. Enjoy!

the distinctive flavor of the new lower east side
E: Guess what just went in on Delancey Street, across from the Chase?
S: A Duane Reade.
E: No, that's already there.
S: A McDonald's.
E: No, that's already there.
S: Bank of America.
E: No, we've got that already.
S: Starbucks.
E: No, we've already got a Starbucks. It's a Chase! Right across the street from the Chase!

(There is also a Chase on 1st and A and another on 1st and Second Ave. and another on Grand St. just off the Bowery.)
