dollhouse

I saw Mabou Mines' Dollhouse at St. Ann's last night, and highly recommend it. A member of the cast is pictured below.

No matter how hard I work this week, I don't think I'll be able to come up with a better found image than this.

I had forgotten just how much this particular project encourages procrastination. I have no good found images to share. I have discovered, however, how obscene the logo for the Fall Guy was.

I mean, that thing would make Joe Camel blush.

Starting work on a new project, which already looks like it could be fruitful for found images. To wit:

Why bother having these guys dress up like vampires?

When you have this guy working in the back?

WTF

A Willie Nelson reggae album ?

Why did this not appear on any of the Signs of the Apocalypse lists that I frequent?

Was the album art lifted from a High Times spread?

Is there any chance this project wasn't conceived of high?

The parking meters are being removed from Rivington Street. For once, I am managing the urge to become maudlinly nostalgic.

I so love the tenor of these times

The comments on a YouTube video of iCub, a prototype robot.

newmac
You have to initially teach it like a child; but then you just have to replicate the coding pattern it assumes. We think we are high tech now; we are still in the dark ages. The AI revolution is about to begin...

xiixiis2
he's sO cute! ^O^

ServetCetin81
without putting all rigid body dynamics, this thing would not work. i am doing a research in yokohama, japan. based on my experience, this thing will never walk

miriyaa
Shut up you asshole! iCub actually walks fool!

ServetCetin81
you fuckin arrogant bitch. show me a video then. that's junk. and who the fuck are you? i am working in a robot lab in japan. who the fuck are you son of a bitch? a retard next to a computer

ServetCetin81
who the fuck are you anyway? this thing does not walk. i met the guy who is in icub's design group. they have not demonstrated walking yet (experimentally). fuckin retard!

miriyaa
You work for another laboratory, that's the reason why you are saying nonsenses. You better continue making robots from kits you buy in Ebay.

ServetCetin81
if you are not a youtube retard, we can meet in next ICRA conference in Kobe. then you can see what I am doing. man, just grab another beer and spend your years next to your comp.

miriyaa
Buy Robotron at $100!
Easy to build!
Without electronics!
Without math!
Without programming!
The perfect choice for assholes like you!

ServetCetin81
fuckin loser

ServetCetin81
what is your profession anyway? cleaning up toilets?

ServetCetin81
everyone thinks (even icub researchers) walking is so easy. just build a humanoid, spent millions but fuck no. because there is a nonlinear coupling between center of mass and zero moment point. one of the common way is to put 3-d inverted pendulum and imply several control loops. icub has too many degrees of freedom but i am not convinced that they can prevent redundancy (whole body motion?). hope they can do well.

miriyaa
No, i don't clean up toilets. That's your mother job in my house. I'm a teacher of "Computability theory", please learn some fundaments you "formula lover" engineer.

ServetCetin81
you are just one of those fuckin "gosh i wish i was italian, gee you know what my real ancestors are italian" types. i am sure you give away your mum to them many times. fuckin bastard
